Sasha K.A

Sasha Klare-Ayvazian, performing as Sasha K.A, is an indie-folk songwriter, string arranger, and music educator based in Western Massachusetts. His work connects live performance, the recording studio, and the classroom.

A graduate of Oberlin College with a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Texas at Austin, Sasha released his debut album, Family, in 2020 and his six-song EP, On A Wire, in March 2026. His songs have appeared in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and a Food Basics campaign. In Austin, he formed the indie-folk group American Dreamer with his wife Courtney on cello. The band was selected for the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster and received a 2021 Sonic Guild grant.

His teaching experience includes music, band, and choir at New Hingham Elementary and directing the Jazz Ensemble at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. In 2022, he returned to Western Massachusetts to start the music program at Rise Preparatory Academy in Springfield.
